GB-Harwell: High Speed Video Facility

The Dynamics group of RAL Space carries out vibration and shock tests on space hardware for a range of industry and internal customers. For tests within the National Satellite Test Facility RAL Space will need to provide high speed video recording capability to monitor satellite deployment and separation systems and there is a requirement to view shock test on components. For some test items there is a need to provide non-contact deflection measurement during tests and this capability will also be used to measure vibrations in test equipment during commissioning processes.
