Overview
The purpose of this Framework Agreement is to allow Kirklees Council to block purchase beds within residential care and nursing home settings for short term, non-permanent stays. Short term stays are necessary to free up hospital beds, when Service Users are deemed medically fit to be discharged from Hospital but their long term care requirements/packages of care are not immediately available. These beds may also be utilised by people in community settings who require step up provision, for example following a carer breakdown, respite provision or to prevent hospital admissions.
