Overview
Mid Devon District Council ("The Authority") has a requirement to upgrade the existing smoke and heat detectors within the communal areas of its flats. The existing systems are Grade D: LD2 providing coverage in the common areas and a heat detector in each flat in the room/lobby opening onto the escape route (interlinked). This is to be maintained with the provision of the new detectors. In addition to this the new detectors are to be Radio Frequency (RF) interlinked with an Alarm Control Switch and a Gateway to be added to the system for remote monitoring purposes.
