Overview
The council has been working in partnership with a specialist environmental enforcement provider to promote the ethos of a Cleaner Greener Wyre since October 2018. This arrangement has enabled council Enforcement Officers to deliver campaigns to inform, educate and prevent environmental crime such as littering and dog fouling, as well as dogs-on-leads/exclusions infringements (PSPOs), supported by education, intervention and enforcement measures as required. The current arrangement which is due to come to an end in September 2024 is on a nil cost basis to the council.
