Overview

Our aim through this phase 2 specification is: Further test and expand a quality and flexible ESOL short training offer to Universal Credit (UC) claimants whose main barrier to job entry has been identified as the level of English needed to be operable in the workplace. We also want to see how the individual can progress through this to additional learning and how they will be supported to do this in order to both hold down their employment but also improve their chances of in work progression from the range of skills offers we have available to employers and residents.
