All Housing properties with a shared communal space are subjected to a Type 1 fire risk assessment to comply with the Regulatory Reform Fire Safety Order 2005 (RFO) and the Fire Safety Act 2021. The Council's primary objective is to keep residents safe by ensuring that they live in homes that comply with fire safety standards. The fire risk recommendations derived from Fire Risk Assessments are assigned risk ratings, which are as follows: critical, high, medium, and low.
