The University is inviting tenders on the terms set out in this ITT. Lancaster University operates a District Heating system that delivers pressurised hot water to buildings via a network of pipework. Historically these pipes ran in ducts and sub-ducts and were uninsulated steel. A scheme to update existing plant rooms has been progressing across campus and the re-commissioning of the district heating system exposed two leaks to the district heating pipework between University House and The Chaplaincy Centre.
