Overview

NICE is undertaking a Technology Appraisal (TA) for hybrid closed loop systems (HCL) for managing blood glucose levels in type 1 diabetes. As part of this TA, NHS England have been requested by NICE to assist NICE with gathering information on the pricing of HCL technologies. The outputs of this information gathering exercise will inform the NICE Appraisal Committee as to whether HCL can be recommended as a cost-effective treatment option for eligible patients.
