Overview

The Information and Analysis Team consists of 13 members has responsibility for the collation and preparation of rail data and the transformation of that data into meaningful business intelligence. This is currently being achieved primarily through the Data Warehouse (known as ORRbit) and the dissemination of rail statistics, to the general public via the Data Portal (http://dataportal.orr.gov.uk) and to internal users of data through dynamic Excel-based dashboards The aim of this consultancy is for ORR to be presented with a range of IT solutions, outlining advantages and disadvantages of each that will address known limitations in the current processes.
