Overview
The University require a number of contractors to undertake the installation, repair and maintenance of the University’s telephone, data and fibre optic cabling systems. Currently the framework have 3 contractors on it who each have the capability to undertake one or more of the University’s structured cabling systems,which are Molex, Systimax SCS and ADC Krone and the blown fibre systems, which are Emtelle / BT Unysis & ADC Krone. Future installations for new build and major refurbishment works will be Cat6a Molex only. Small works will predominantly be for Cat5e and the structured cabling solution required will be Molex.
