Overview
The Forestry Commission is inviting tenders for the supply of timber harvesting thinning operations in Grizedale Forest main block and Low Dale Park. The contract will also include scope for small scale clearfell operations as well as some skidder work and respacing of regeneration. In some areas the thinning work required must be carried out according to the Continuous Cover Forestry approach. It is the purpose of this tender to secure a qualified, capable and high quality contractor resource. Our intention is to award this contract for a period of three years.
