As part of our Future of Planning programme, the Catapult believes that a more standardised approach to planning data and planning documents is key to reducing risk and uncertainty for developers and creating greater accessibility for citizens. The Neighbourhood Planning Bill proposes to give the Secretary of State new powers to publish data standards for local development schemes, local development documents, or local development documents of a particular kind. The Catapult is seeking consultancy services to understand the elements of the planning system that would most benefit from standardisation and the kinds of opportunities that would emerge from this more standardised system.…
