Overview
As a Waste Disposal Authority, Kent County Council (KCC) has a statutory responsibility to arrange for the disposal of the organic waste collected in its area by the Waste Collection Authorities (collected at kerbside), and deposited by residents at Household Waste Recycling Centres). KCC requires new supply arrangements for the processing and disposal of organic waste, with the new services commencing on 1st April 2026. Tenderers should note that there may be occasions where HWRC and kerbside garden waste may contain unintentional contaminants such as soil, stones, plastic fragments and other non-organic materials, and must factor this into their proposals.
