Overview

The contract is for the weed spraying and control services to footways and hard surfaced areas used for foot traffic within the Leeds City Council administrative boundary. Works will be on behalf of two distinct service areas – 1) Publicly maintainable highways and surfaced street features managed by the council’s Highways Network Management team and 2) Various types of footpaths, ginnels, drying areas and hard areas within communal spaces around housing estates, community precincts and sheltered housing complexes managed by Housing Leeds and local Tenant Management Organisations (TMOs), or their successors, who are responsible for management of council housing stock.
