Overview
On 11 March 2014, Ofcom announced that Channel 4 Corporation's (C4C) licence would be renewed for a 10-year period, and is due to expire on 28 December 2024. Following the Government's decision not to privatise C4C, Ofcom will be undertaking its statutory process of renewing the licence where we will determine the appropriate conditions for a replacement licence and the duration of the new licence. Ofcom will be consulting on our proposals for the conditions of the C4C's new licence in autumn 2023.
