Overview

Thurrock Council's CCTV network was established in 2001 and has grown over the years with a number of upgrades.The current system comprises a combination of both PTZ and fixed cameras over 40 locations within Thurrock. There are two types of connection methods to these cameras, coaxial cable and wireless radio links. Each area has a recording facility in the form of IndigoVision NVRs which are linked back to the main CCTV Control Room via a broadband network which is maintained by Thurrock Council's ICT Department.
