Building 47 Refurbishment

Building 47 has an existing and functioning Van de Graaff Accelerator on the National Physical Laboratory (NPL) campus at Teddington. More than 60 years after the installation of NPL's first neutron measurement facility the UK government outlined plans for a new series of nuclear reactors in a bid to boost UK energy security and reduce dependence on fossil fuels.
