Overview

Since the Brundtland Building Tower Block thermal performance upgrades were completed several years ago, overheating of teaching spaces has become a problem. As a result, Bedford College are proceeding with installation of a hydronic cooling system on Levels 1 and 2 of the building. The cooling system will also provide low carbon background heating during the winter season by means of the reverse cycle air source heat pumps that are being installed as part of this project. Building efficiency will be further improved by the installation of a control system furnished by Genius Hub as part of this upgrade package.
