Overview
The Welsh Government purchased Bro Tathan Airfield in the Vale of Glamorgan in 2003 from the Ministry of Defence (MOD). As part of this transaction the Welsh Government took ownership of the existing onsite private utility network. On behalf of the Welsh Ministers the MOD operate and maintain the onsite private utility network. Welsh Government and the MOD recognise the need to transition to Statutory Authority adoption of the onsite private utility network or to engage with alternative private sector Independent Distribution Network Operator (IDNO) providers in respect of the operation and maintenance of the onsite utility network.
