In 2019 the BFI, the UK's lead organisation for film, launched BFI Player Classics, an expertly curated new SVOD collection of the best quintessentially British films. Initially on Roku Channels, and now on Apple Channels, BFI Player Classics sought to build on the huge success of BFI Player in the UK with a unique content offering for US audiences with over 200 subscription only British or British co-production films, picked by BFI experts.
