The Council seeks to appoint contractor(s) for the removal of bodies where a death has been referred to HM Senior Coroner for Berkshire and you are invited to submit your quotation for this requirement. It is intended to appoint contractor(s) sufficient to provide an adequate service to the areas detailed below. Bodies are to be removed to a mortuary detailed under each area but may be taken to the mortuary designated by the Coroner’s Service (this may not be the nearest mortuary geographically). It will also be necessary to transport a deceased from another funeral director or from outside the contract area to the mortuary, see clause 3.20. A map showing the extent of the areas is attached…
