Extra Care provides a safe and secure self-contained accommodation for vulnerable adults who require varying levels of care and support to enable them to live independently in a home environment. Thirteen have been delivering Extra Care schemes for 14 years. Orchid House is one of the ten Extra Care schemes we have developed and is based in Sowerby, Thirsk, YO7 1JP. The scheme consists of ninety units and is a mix of apartments and bungalows. We are contractually required by North Yorkshire County Council to commission a care provider who will be based on site.
