Wakefield Council are the relevant authority for the West Yorkshire Eastern Area Coroner's Service which covers the local authority areas of Leeds and Wakefield City Councils. The Coroner's Service are relocating into new purpose-built premises within Wakefield City Centre. The new facility will house the Coroner's Services Team and 2 new Courts, one of which will hear Jury Inquests.
