Overview
Newcastle City Council has a duty under the Care Act 2014 and the Housing Grants, Construction and Regeneration Act 1996 to provide adaptations for qualifying residents, in households which are either: • owned by the Council, or • households in receipt of the Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG). The Aids and Adaptations multi-lot Framework seeks to appoint providers who can provide appropriate equipment to meet assessed needs including, but not limited to: -Stair Lifts -Ceiling Track Hoists -Platform Lifts/ Vertical Lifts/ Step Lifts -Level Access Showers / Shower over baths / Wash-Dry toilets / Kitchens and Internal Alterations -Extensions, Room/ Garage Conversions -Access Works (Ramps, Steps…
