Overview

The Authority is looking for a supplier to provide technical support and advice to Defra and the Devolved Administrations on smoke control, in particular sections 20 and 21 of the Clean Air Act 1993 (https://www.gov.uk/smoke-control-area-rules) and other associated sections. The contractor will provide impartial assessment of applications from manufacturers for authorisation or exemption of fuels or appliances.
