Highways England need to deliver a greater volume of work over the next 5 years (RIS2) and therefore greater efficiencies are needed throughout the project lifecycle. Within Major Projects Directorate, the Smart Motorways Programme is a key part of the overall delivery strategy to improve the network and have an innovations group looking at how to deliver these programme efficiencies.
