North Yorkshire County Council provides facilities to householders called household waste recycling centres (HWRCs). All HWRCs accept tyres from local residents in quantities, no greater than four, as household waste. There are seven Waste Collection Authorities (WCAs) in North Yorkshire. They collect flytipped tyres and deliver them directly to the HWRCs, store them at their depots or require separate collections for loads greater than 40 tyres.
