Hampshire County Council (HCC) undertakes a large and varied programme of work involving maintenance, new build, rationalisation and refurbishment of the County Council’s and its clients' built estate, met by a variety of arrangements. As part of its asset and Risk Management programme, the County Council undertakes structural inspections of the built estate on a five-year rolling programme. The programme also includes specific items such as chimneys and boiler flues over 2m high, play and boundary walls, retaining walls, lighting grids, lofts, and other hidden roof spaces.
