Snarestone Wharf Badger Activity - Temporary Dam

Following a recent significant increase in badger activity on the Ashby Canal near Snarestone Wharf there is now an urgent requirement for action to reduce the risk of a breach which would be a major incident considering the ecological, financial and reputational impact. This is especially critical as this would be the second breach of this circa 600 metre extension of the Ashby Canal north of the Snarestone Wharf stopgate.
