The University of Warwick has a requirement to purchase a backscatter Laue system (LS) to replace an existing instrument which is currently used to check the quality and then align single crystal samples of materials used for neutron diffraction and inelastic scattering measurements, as well as for various bulk properties measurements (magnetisation, resistivity, heat capacity etc). Sample sizes range from sub-millimetre to 10-15 centimetres in length.
