Gelt High Bridge is a single span masonry road bridge with masonry abutments, wing walls and parapets. The bridge carries the B6413 County Road over the River Gelt, north of Castle Carrock. The bridge is in a poor condition and an investigation is now required to ascertain whether it is more economical to attempt to repair or replace the bridge. Major issues include the poor condition of the spandrel support structure and the poor condition of the masonry in the arch barrel.
