Primary Source Verification for Overseas Doctors

The Registration Information team conducts verification checks on doctors' qualifications where there is a requirement to do so. Two types of checks are conducted:* Monthly post-grant checks of the primary medical qualifications of a random sample of European applicants granted registration in the last month.* Ad hoc checks of the medical qualifications of any GMC registrant, where a concern is raised about such qualifications.The third party will be contracted to provide these verification services on the GMC's behalf.
