The Met Office has identified a potential requirement for the provision of polar orbiting satellite data reception infrastructure. A recent review of our polar systems has highlighted that some of our existing reception infrastructure is now approaching end-of-life. This has led us to start considering our requirements for the future of polar reception at Exeter and how we might meet them.
