5.1 The supplier is to provide a Public Key Infrastructure certificate audit across the Defence estate, to include identifying any weak or obsolete cryptographic algorithms, highlighting areas of concern together with detailed and actionable remedial recommendations 5.2 The authorities understanding is that there are around 100,000 certificates on the defence network and 16 certificating authorities. these certificating authorities can cascade authority to a lower level, but we understand that this is only down one level, except for one network where there is a further level (opnet).
