The works comprise the monthly observation and reporting on, and ordered maintenance of, the channel and structures along the River Don and a small section of the Blackburn Brook in the Lower Don Valley. The aim of these activities is to ensure that these rivers are maintained and remain free from debris and blockage to reduce the risk of flood in a storm event.
