NHS England is the operational name for the NHS Commissioning Board. NHS England is responsible for the direct commissioning of some health care services in England and for the oversight of the role of Clinical Commissioning Groups. NHS England is currently working in partnership with Public Health England with support from Diabetes UK to establish a national programme to prevent and postpone the onset of Type 2 diabetes in identified high risk individuals.
