Expansion of deep sequencing capacity is required to meet Institute demand. Current sequencing capacity reached, waiting time can reach 4 weeks. Feedback from end users is that more and larger scale projects will be coming online in next 6-24 months, several of which are beyond the capabilities of the existing machine. The required capacity is for sequencing of one mammalian genome, > 10 exomes or hundreds of short amplicons in a single run.
