Kent and Medways Towns Fire Authority also known as Kent Fire and Rescue Service is the National Fire Chiefs Council Lead Authority for PPE and Clothing within the sector. In 2017 following a full tender process the Authority awarded the hugely successful Collaborative PPE Framework which has seen 31 Fire and Rescue Services across the sector call off from the framework on either a Purchase Only or Fully Managed Service basis, it represents over 30,000 wearers, Following the end of the framework duration the Authority has been undertaking a review of the Fire Fighting PPE within the Sector.…
