This requirement is for the Minsterley Surface Water Diversion - The Minsterley Brook catchment comprises an extensive area of former mines in South Shropshire. Sampling by Environment Agency (EA) shows mine water discharges to contain elevated levels of metal pollutants. The Mining Remediation Authority is proposing to install a surface water diversion pipeline as part of works to reduce metal pollution in the catchment.
