The Local Street Works Register (LSWR) system is required to enable TfL to fulfil their statutory duties under the New Roads and Streetworks Act 1991 (NRSWA) amended by the Transport Act 2000 and the Traffic Management Act 2004 (TMA). The Network Management and Resilience (NMR) Directorate is responsible for coordinating all road works on the TLRN undertaken by external and internal works promoters, and the LSWR is used for every aspect of this work.
