The SOBC will need to cover a range of emerging options for Liverpool Central station, the third busiest station in the North of England. Merseytravel are currently working with Network Rail on identification and analysis of different options for the station through a Guide to Rail Investment Process (GRIP) stage 2 Feasibility Study.
