The Contracting Authority has already exercised its option to extend the Initial 2-year term by no more than two years by granting a 1-year extension and wishes to grant a further extension of 1 year and 3 months, exceeding the maximum permitted extension period by three months. The further 3 months are necessary in order to bring the contract into line with the academic year cycle and the launch on 1st August 2022 of an entirely new contract which will be the subject of a full public procurement procedure commencing in mid to late 2021, (subject to funding).
