Transport for Wales (TfW), on behalf of Welsh Government Ministers are scoping the possibility of establishing a pathfinder project for the use of a fleet of hydrogen fuel-cell electric buses (FCEBs) in the Swansea Bay area. This project will consist of a number of strands, however the initial focus is on selecting a bus operator(s). The bus operator(s) will be responsible for operating and maintaining the buses on the route(s) identified for the pathfinder and working with the TfW project team to capture data and experiences, as well as lessons learned.
