SAP was introduced into the Council in 2011 and supports the delivery of the Council's HR/ Payroll, Finance, Procurement, Budgeting/ Forecasting and Reporting Services. The system has a vast number of transactions through it each month. The underlying SAP operating system and associated software will cease to receive security updates from July 2026 and so needs to be reprocured to move to a supported and cloud hosted version.
