The Dynamic Cover Tool (DCT) is a software solution that enables West Midlands Fire Service to dynamically relocate available vehicles in response to changing levels of fleet availability. It aids us in ensuring our spread of cover is appropriate to the level of risk within our communities and in ensuring our response standards are maintained. The DCT allows us to see the impacts drops in cover have on our response times and identify the most effective moves to make to maintain or improve these.
