The Council is under a statutory duty to provide care and support to eligible adults with identified needs. Where needs have been identified and are considered to be eligible in line with the criteria set out in Part 1, section 13 of the Care Act 2014, including that the adult requesting support from the local authority to meet those needs, the Council has a duty to consider how it may meet those needs.
