York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority (YNYCA) is procuring consultancy support to help produce the new Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP) for York and North Yorkshire, as part of the Combined Authority's duties as a Local Transport Authority. Our intention is that a final version of the BSIP should be completed by April 2026. While this work will build on the existing BSIPs produced by the City of York Council (CYC) and North Yorkshire Council (NYC), it should set out a path to deliver the Mayor's ambition to significantly improve the quality of bus services across the YNYCA area.
