Currently, Boards across England are at varying stages in their maturity as evidenced by the NHS IMPACT self-assessment, and other indicators, leading to variation in performance that we believe could be mitigated with the right interventions. The Board Impact and Improvement Programme is a new initiative that takes a whole Board, national approach to capability building in the service of continuous improvement and efficiency.
