The provision of a Consanguinity Outreach Service. The service is in response to concerns regarding children from black and minority ethnic communities being over represented in infant and child mortality figures. The service has a focus on targeted approaches within the localities of Oldham which will increase the potential for long-term impact over the next generation of births and contribute to the long-term objectives of reduction of inherited illnesses, associated child death and demand for complex care within the population of Oldham from South Asian Heritage
