FCG has been tasked with creating a concept demonstration of a modular and automated loiter munition and UAS storage and launch POD(S) for multi domain use, to include trials on land and at sea, in order to accelerate the development of a cross domain modular system. Currently there are no in-service, cross domain (land/sea) automated, multiple loitering munitions launch systems. The benefits of such a system are that it can be deployed rapidly from either a maritime or land-based platform to prosecute targets at land and/or sea and would generate coherence across those domains.
